It can be a big challenge to move to another country. Many things are different from what you are used to: new job, removal, new culture, new school for the kids, and a new language. All in all an enormous change for all in the family. Normally you don't know the law, the unwritten rules and habbits in your new country.
As an expat you will meet many challenges. You have to adjust to your new job, the new culture, and establish your family in Denmark. You will probably experience new organisational roles in the company, a new company culture, new ways to socialize with colleagues, and new work hours. All this you have to relate to, and in the beginning you will experience stress and frustration.
As a spouse this can mean a totally new role in the family, since you may have given up a good job and suddenly is the only one to take care of the children, the home, and all the practical stuff that follows from moving to another country. You may feel a bigger responsibility for the kids, who need a secure base in an everyday that have changed dramatically. When you don't have a network to turn to, like family and friends, you may experience isolation, loneliness and frustration, especially in the beginning.
A personal coach can help and guide you in the process, to fit into the Danish society and understand the Danes. You will receive support to tackle the challenges and make the stay a positive experience for all in the family, both workwise, socially and culturally. The stationing will be a unique possibility for personal development for all members of the family.
